So Friday we couldn't make heads or tails as to what we were supposed to do to reinstall the GRUB, as it kept coming up with errors. So we just reinstalled Ubuntu. :D And it worked! Took about 15 minutes.
After that, we installed Beta Win7 on the second partition of the second HDD, and voila! Triple boot!
We just turned on our computer and checked it, and everything works. Yay! :D
WE'RE DONE.
EDIT: Ok, so apparently our triple boot doesn't work quite the way it's supposed to, so we're going to go back tomorrow and hopefully fix it. *crosses fingers* But it still works. <3

Reload GRUB
We thought we had mounted the 2nd HDD, but apparently we didn't, because after we installed XP onto the 2nd HDD, it didn't register. Sooooo, back to Ubuntu we went to edit the grub. We eventually got the the normal entry, but it didn't work, no matter how we typed it, so now we're stuck.
Then T told us to "hide" the HDD, so we did. Now we can't access XP OR Ubuntu. D: So we're going to reload our grub and start over.
UGH.

UBUNTU
So when we came in this morning, the install had failed. But Emily and I didn't want to put the computer up ('cause we're lazy...), so we just did the exact same thing again for kicks and it worked! Yay!
So now we have Ubuntu. Woot!

Back To Ubuntu
Skills was AWESOME. Good break. Now that we're back, though, it's been pretty stressful.
Thankfully, the techies we left behind didn't do anything with the computers while we were gone, so we're not behind in this class, at least.
Pretty much what we did today was look things up. We looked at the repository (oh yay! X3). I was extremely hyped up on sugar from the M&Ms I stole from my friend, so I'm not quite sure exactly what happened here. I'll have to ask Emily later. >_>
Then we edited the GRUB loader to show more options. Manning helped us do that, as we were pretty lost. (We also found out that GRUB means Grand Unified Boot Loader, btw.)
After that we spent FOREVER searching for a way to install a GUI. We finally found it (Google is our best friend! :D)--apt-get install ubuntu-desktop.
Now it's installing. 3 hours. Yay. O_O So we'll probably leave it overnight and play with it some more tomorrow.
